Terms of Service.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Gele mobile application ("App"), this website, and any related services we provide (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you accept these Terms. If you don't accept them, please don't use the Service.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or the age of digital consent in your country, whichever is higher) to use Gele. By using the Service you confirm you meet that requirement.
2. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for any activity on your account. Tell us at support@gele.app if you believe your account has been used without your permission.
3. The Service in plain English
Gele is a virtual try-on app for traditional head wraps. You upload a portrait, choose a gele style and a fabric, and we generate an image of you wearing that pairing. The output is a simulation created by a third-party AI image model. It is not a photograph; the real fit, fall, and colour of a physical gele will differ.
4. Credits and purchases
- Each try-on render consumes one credit. New accounts receive a small number of credits for free.
- Additional credits are sold as one-off purchases through the Apple App Store. Apple's terms and refund policy govern those transactions.
- Credits have no cash value, are non-transferable, and expire only if your account is deleted.
5. Your content
"Your Content" means the portraits you upload and any preferences you set. You keep ownership of your content. You grant Gele a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to host, process, and display Your Content solely so we can provide the Service to you. We do not use Your Content to train AI models, and we do not share Your Content with anyone except the service providers described in our Privacy Policy.
Generated try-on images belong to you. You may save, share, and reuse them for personal, non-commercial purposes.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Upload portraits of people who haven't consented.
- Create, save, or share content that is sexual, violent, hateful, defamatory, or misleading.
- Impersonate another person.
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or interfere with the Service.
- Bypass account, credit, or security controls.
- Use the Service in violation of any applicable law.
We may remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that breach these rules.
7. AI-generated content
Try-on images are generated by an AI model. They may contain visual errors, artefacts, or inaccuracies. Don't rely on them as a guarantee of how you would actually look in a gele. You alone are responsible for how you use the generated images.
8. Reporting concerns
Inside the App you can report any generated render that you find inappropriate or incorrect. You can also email support@gele.app at any time.
9. Termination
You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete account. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or if we are required to by law.
10. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, Gele disclaims all warranties, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that generated images will meet your expectations.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Gele's total liability arising out of or in connection with the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, or £50, whichever is greater. We are not liable for any indirect, special, incidental, or consequential losses. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
12. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll flag material changes in the App. If you continue to use the App after the change, you accept the updated Terms.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales. Disputes will be resolved by the courts of England & Wales, except where applicable consumer law gives you the right to bring a claim where you live.
